The new Sport Pilot license is the perfect entry-level ticket. It allows you to fly a real airplane, with one passenger, during daylight hours and in fair weather conditions. For a beginner, the Sport Pilot license requires half the time - and costs half as much - as the traditional Private Pilot License! (That's because you won't be trained to fly at night, or in IFR (bad weather) conditions, and you won't be flying with more than one passenger).

You can book your introductory flight today! Come by our offices and pick-up your study materials tomorrow! We offer regular ground school sessions to help you prepare for the FAA Sport Pilot written test (it's a multiple choice test; all questions are available for study ahead of time!). To qualify for the license, you'll need to pass the test, have a minimum of twenty hours at the controls of the airplane, and a current Driver's License. You can take your time, or meet all the requirements in as little as two weeks! We'll show you how, and assist you from beginning to end!

Q - How much will it cost?
A - Realistically, you should anticipate approximately $3500.00

Q - What aircraft will I be able to fly?
A - Any number of aircraft that meet the definition of Light Sport Aircraft (LSA). Our LSA trainer is an American-made all-metal, low-wing side-by-side aircraft powered with the Lycoming O-235. This modern aircraft is roomier, has better visibility and out-performs our venerable Cessna 152 in every way.
Q - Where will I be able to fly with my new Sport Pilot license?
A - You can fly across the entire country! You'll have to stay clear of certain airspace (near the busy airports of the country's largest cities), but we'll teach you to operate from smaller airports that have a control tower as part of your basic training. That will be the first added "endorsement" to your basic license, when you train at Dragonfly Aviation!

If you have other questions, give us a call or stop by for a visit!
Looking for a Lease-Back Opportunity?
Here's how it works: You purchase a factory-built S-LSA aircraft, or a 1/3 share in one, and lease it back to the flying school. Benefits include unlimited low-cost flying and priority aircraft booking, a tax write-off, and a steady income stream as the flying school uses the aircraft in its daily operations. The school manages the aircraft for you and takes care of all the paperwork, insurance and on-going aircraft maintenance! You just fly and cash in your monthly check!

Dragonfly Aviation is currently looking for one more individual for a three-way lease-back partnership. If interested, please call Bob at the number listed below!
