My Experience with "Builder-Assistance"
Regarding the KITS that are assembled during custom-programs such as the one describe here, it is highly recomended that builders begin with the most complete kit available for the chosen aircraft design. In this case, Mack was able to get a "super" Quick-Build-Kit for his Zodiac XL. For more details on this kit, please contact
Ed Dalbec, a retired United Airlines Mechanic, kept things on the straight and narrow, making sure that I did not go off the deep end by modifying something that should not have been. His electronic aptitude made easy work of the avionics, radios and auto-pilot installations. Ed has built several planes himself including the 601XL used by Dragonfly Aviation (Santa Rosa) as a trainer. I checked out and got my bi-annual in this 601XL -- a very nice aircraft.

PART 3
Erik Peterson, Past President of EAA Santa Rosa, and also a builder of several different aircraft, is a very meticulous individual. His latest project is a combination of three different models with the final product looking like a PA-13 -- If he takes it to Oshkosh, he'll win Grand Champion!
For Michael Heintz - who run Quality Sport Planes - actions speak louder than words. I found him to be more knowledgeable and competent in aircraft construction that he would like you to believe. He was truly amazing in helping with my aircraft.
Erik's belief is: the job has to be done correctly and meticulously or not at all. You should see what he did for my plane. If you get the opportunity, ask him to show you his pride and joy.
